COASTAL WASHINGTON
One hour to Seattle. Immediate
opening for a BE/BC Nephrologist in a busy two-physician nephrology practice. The Senior Nephrologist just retired 1/08. Great
place to work, to live and to raise a family. This
Nephrology group currently cares for approximately 120 dialysis patients, about 40 of whom would be available for assumption
of care by a new physician. We currently have three dialysis units, in town, and have recently received a certificate
of need to open a new unit . The dialysis facilities are nonprofit /community owned. An opportunity for Medical
Directorship would be a possibility after the first year.
There is currently one main hospital, which is
in close proximity to the office. The hospital offers all services including cardiac surgery, with the exception of
neurosurgery. Our hospital census averages about twelve patients, comprised of acute and chronic renal failure, with
a very busy acute hemodialysis as well as CRRT program. All dialysis and transplant patients are admitted by the hospitalist
service; we are primarily a consultative service. We each work four days in the clinic, taking one full day off.
We provide an outpatient consultative service to a local military hospital. Call would be one in four, as there is another
Nephrologist in the community who participates in the call schedule.
We are offering a guaranteed salary
for the first year of about 170K, with the additional possibility of a bonus after monthly wages and a third of the shared
expenses are met. After the first year, partnership in the LLC is a possibility. At that point there is no buy
in; after overhead and direct expenses, the remainder of the collections are kept. Please contact
